Simona Eugenelo (IT)

Peace Sound is a collective album born from an idea by Simona Eugenelo which brings together some of the most representative names of Italian avant garde music beyond genres. Peace Sound is the result of a passion for the Himalayan cultural tradition and the immense heritage of music and mantras of Buddhist philosophy, handed down orally over the centuries, which keep their charm and evocative power intact today.

After years of study under the guidance of Lama Gangchen Rinpoche, Simona Eugenelo reinterprets these songs, filtering them through a contemporary sensibility, between jazz, funk, electronics and world music that has infected the many musicians who, over the months, have reached her in the studio to play on various songs.

Simona Eugenelo is a singer, musician, curator of music festivals and reviews. In 1995 he founded the musical group United Peace Voices wanted by Lama Gangchen Rinpoche, to revive the traditional Himalayan musical culture, organizing an Italian tour with the dancer monks of the Ganden Monastery in India. Through seminars and meetings he spreads the NgalSo Tantric Self-Healing meditation and the culture of Peace.
